Draft River Basin Management Plans have been produced for each River Basin District.

A plan has also been produced for the Shannon International River Basin District (IRBD). Only a small portion of this district lies within Northern Ireland. Consequently the drafting of this plan was lead by the authorities in Ireland. Full consultation has been maintained with the authorities in Northern Ireland.
