Producer Responsibility
Producer Responsibility is increasingly used throughout the world as a means of addressing environmental impacts of certain products. Producer Responsibility is an example of the extended Polluter Pays Principle as it applies to waste and resource management.
The Producer Responsibility Unit was established to implement the legislation covering packaging, End-of-Life Vehicles (ELVs) and Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE).
