Producer Responsibility is increasingly used throughout the world as a means of addressing environmental impacts of certain products.

The Producer Responsibility Unit within the Northern Ireland Environment Agency provide advice and enforce legislation covering:

• Packaging Waste
• End-of-life Vehicles (ELVs)
• Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE)
