Managing our Shared Waters is a document outlining the cooperation arrangements between the two jurisdictions, north and south, involved in implementing the directive in our shared waters.

The plan takes into account the potential impacts of climate change.
Reports assessing the impacts of the plan and the measures proposed have been produced.

River basin planning involves everyone who is interested in, or may be affected by, the water environment and the way in which it is managed. The public participation section explains how anyone interested in local water issues can identify their concerns to both statutory agencies and non-governmental organisations and have these addressed at a local level.

For more information on how we have developed the river basin plan see the earlier river basin planning section.
