Fees & Charges

Fees are charged both for the initial registration of a source, its variation and for its annual subsistence under Section 7 or Section 10, Section 13 or Section 14 of the Radioactive Substances Act (RSA).

The current fees are as follows:

One or more closed sources	£456 per application	£250 for annual subsistence	£456 per variation
One or more open sources which are also the subject of an authorisation, or application for an authorisation	£456 per application	Nil	£456 per variation
One or more mobile sources, other than a tracer test source	£456 per application	£250 for annual subsistence	£456 per variation
One or more tracer test sources	£456 per application	Nil	Not Applicable
One or more HASS sources - first application	£662 per application	£305 for annual subsistence	£662
One or more HASS sources of a similar level of potential hazard - first application	£511 per application	£305	£511 per variation
