Living Things: Animals and Plants Activity Book for KS1 & 2
In Living Things: Animals and Plants Activity Book for KS1 & 2 children are invited to explore their local environment, either in their gardens or school grounds. The activities encourage them to make observations and to use a range of materials to build and construct. The topics covered link to the curriculum and cover Wildlife in the Backyard, Minibeast and Birds and Trees. At KS2 activities are extended to cover Lifecycles, Foodchains and Habitats. Fergus' Nature Diary
The Fergus Nature Diary Activity Book ( pdf - 2.8 MB ) is suitable for KS1&2 children. It encourages them to think about the seasons at Crawfordsburn Country Park and the different habitats they find there. They are introduced to the habitat of the woodland, seashore and pond, what food is available, the wildlife that lives there, and the life cycles of the plants, birds and animals over the course of the year. It can be used as an introduction to food chains and habitats.
