Country Parks are designed to promote access to the countryside, encouraging a greater understanding and knowledge of the environment. The Countryside Centres are located within or close to areas which are naturally attractive in terms of scenery and wildlife. They are provided so that you may enjoy these natural resources while at the same time, we ensure their conservation.

NIEA has developed an internal policy statement which now guides the management of its country parks. Work remains to be done to bring all the country parks up to the standard to which we aspire. Visitors should see steady improvements taking place over the coming years.
