New Air Quality Website for Northern Ireland
A new public air quality website funded by the Northern Ireland Department of Environment has gone live at www.airqualityni.co.uk. In launching the website , the Northern Ireland Office welcomed the establishment of the website; this will be a primary source of air pollution information for Northern Ireland 's district councils, government departments, consultants, academics and the general public.
Like the UK Archive, the new website will provide comprehensive on-line access to air quality data and forecasts; however, it also offers special regional content and functionalities. For instance, it will provide access to up-to-date air quality measurements from many local monitoring sites that are not currently accessible from the UK Archive.
Air quality and climate change are now managed through the Department of the Environment’s Environmental Policy Division.
