Estimated costs of delivering habitat action plans.

Costing the HAPs has been based on indicative costs calculated for each of the actions identified within each HAP. These indicative costs have been generated based on opinion, estimates and known actual costs of particular actions. Many of the indicative costs used in calculating the cost estimates have been taken from UK-wide cost estimate reports.

The cost estimates have therefore been based on the expenditure required to fulfill the actions set out in the HAP such that the targets of the HAP are achieved. The cost estimates have been made for the period 2004/05 to 2014/15. Underlying this approach is the assumption that the actions described in the HAP are sufficient to achieve the targets.
